- Dimensions are listed as length × width × depth, except for round stones which are measured as diameter × depth.
- Always choose gemstones by size, not by weight!
- Different gem varieties have different densities, so carat weight isn’t a reliable indicator of size.

| Coated | A thin metallic film is added to produce the iridescent look found in Mystic or Azotic quartz. |
| Smoked | Foil-wrapping and gentle heating allow smoke to enter the opal, darkening its body colour and boosting play-of-colour. Common in some Ethiopian Black Opals. |
| Stabilised | Resin or polymer is infused into porous gems to improve hardness, density, and colour—essential for fragile stones like Turquoise. |
| Cultured | Human-assisted pearls grown in freshwater or saltwater molluscs. They grow faster and are more reliable, which keeps them affordable. |

About the Stone
Aquaprase is a relatively new gemstone discovery (first identified around 2013–2015) from a remote location in Africa. It is a natural, untreated variety of chalcedony coloured by chromium (and sometimes nickel), giving it a distinctive and highly attractive sea-green to aqua-blue hue. The colour ranges from soft milky aqua and seafoam green to deeper bluish-green tones, often with a gentle translucency that creates a calm, oceanic appearance.
Unlike chrysoprase or gem silica, Aquaprase has its own unique absorption spectrum and composition, confirmed by gemological laboratories including GIA. It is completely natural and untreated — no dyeing, heating, or oiling is applied. With a Mohs hardness of approximately 6.5–7, it is durable enough for most jewellery applications and takes an excellent polish.
