- All gemstones are measured in millimeters (mm).
- Dimensions are listed as length × width × depth, except for round stones which are measured as diameter × depth.
- Always choose gemstones by size, not by weight!
- Different gem varieties have different densities, so carat weight isn’t a reliable indicator of size.
